Comments: We stayed at Silmog Garden in first week of June for 4 nights / 5 Days. The hotel is a very neat, safe and well maintained property and our twin rooms (we stayed in #11, which has an attached room with bunk beds for kids) were well ventilated, clean, spacious and cozy. Conveniently located at just 5 minute walking distance from the lively Mall area, Van Vihar, Piccadilly movie theatre and bus stand, we found it to be completely insulated from all noise of the traffic & market and offered a very quiet, peaceful and relaxing environment at all hours - a big plus for a hotel.

The vegetarian breakfast, though with very limited choices, was simply delectable and just tasted like home cooked meal. I happened to have peek at the kitchen and found to be very clean and organized as well.

About Mr. Amit, Mr Lovely and staff, they are perfect hosts - very friendly and always willing to help and ensuring that we were comfortable. Just to cite an example of their hospitality, after we had checked out, and knowing that our bus departure was still few hours away, they opened another room for us to be comfortable, rather than having us to wait at the reception!

All in all, our stay at Silmog Garden was a memorable one and whenever we revisit Manali, we would love to stay there again. It is a very good value for the money and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone for stay in downtown area of Manali.

A suggestion -
We were forced to stay indoors for full one day due to bad weather and it was difficult to keep the kids and ourselves busy. To add to the woes, TV reception was very bad. In situations like this, some in-house recreational facilities like a good collection of books & periodicals, Table teniss, Pool table, Carom etc., would be of big help.

This is one hotel I will definitely want to recommend to our circle of friends and relatives.

One suggestion Amit - a pool table in the non-veg. section of the restaurant would help to pass the time.

The hotel staffs had been very polite and kind in their services. Especially Mr. Amit /Jaipal truly has a helping hand always for his guests. He is the best host I ever met in any of the hotels so far.
The best aspect of Silmog has been the delicious food prepared in time and served in an appropriate manner, just like home food. Separate kitchen for vegetarian and food item is superb mind-blowing food items,
Kitchen was neat, clean, hygienic and well maintained to serve separately for veg and non-veg food lovers. It requires at least 30 minutes to prepare fresh food so the order has to be given well in advance.
Silmog garden has all the facilities that one would look for to make the trip and stay a worthwhile, We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Manali just because of hotel Silmog. It is a recommended hotel for families and couples to halt in Manali. Not for big groups. They do not prefer also.

They have made small stairs in room for Kid's Beds. So small kids are enjoying even though they are in room. TV provided in family room is of LCD and brand new.

Even though I do not prefer Punjabi food (While gujarati food easily available in Manali) I took two times Punjabi food in the hotel itself. Still I do not forget the taste of Malai Kofta and Kadai paneer. Wowwwwwwww….. Pl note that they do not serve the food in the room so please do not raise any query afterwards since they are very strict on their policies. They are right also else rooms can not be clean as maintained right now. Pl also note that they need atleast 1½ hour for preparation since they are making fresh food always. Non vegetarian kitchen worth to see. Beautiful Mountain views from terrace. Views from Room is not so good which other 4 star hotel may provide however normally we are staying in room in morning only after which we are going for site visits so personally I do not see any issue pertaining to location. Moreover, ladies prefer location nearby to shopping area. Even though hotel is very near to Mall road you will not find any disturbance/noise around the hotel.

The care and guest treatment was amazing which is to be appreciated. The hospitality and the facilities provided by this hotel has been very impressive comparatively. The hotel staffs had been very polite and kind in their services. Especially Mr. Amit /Jaipal truly has a helping hand always for his guests. He is the best host I ever met in business hotels. The Hotel provides pick up and drop facility, arranges sightseeing in and around Manali. ( I called them 6 AM in the morning for pick up and hotel owner himself came for pick up and drop also (Even though there was heavy rain as well as Mr. Amit has not followed traffic rules so that we can catch our bus).

We took lot of good snaps to register our memories of our stay at Hotel Silmog Garden.
To conclude Silmog garden has all the facilities that one would look for to make the trip and stay a worthwhile, wonderful and comfortable experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Manali just because of hotel Silmog. It is a recommended hotel for families and couples to halt in Manali. Not for big groups. They do not prefer also.
